We tailor our services according to your needs and wishes during pregnancy and childbirth. A dedicated team of midwives is always by your side, day and night.
In addition to our trusted care we offer CenteringPregnancy, which is the newest form of obstetric care. Also, all ultrasounds during your pregnancy will be carried out at our own practice.
Furthermore, we guide women during the postnatal period who are under the supervision of a gynaecologist. You can sign up for these check-ups via wijkbijduurstede@degeboortezaak.nl
Since 2017 we are part of De Geboortezaak, but perhaps you remember us as Verloskundigenpraktijk Wijk bij Duurstede. Same team, same location, different name.

My name is Roel de Heus, and I am the in-house gynaecologist at midwifery practice De Geboortezaak in Wijk bij Duurstede. I work together with the midwives of De Geboortezaak for pregnant women who would like or need to see a gynaecologist during their pregnancy. I visit the midwifery practice to consult with the midwives and to see the pregnant women during a consult with their own midwife.

My name is Janine Boon, and I am the in-house gynaecologist at midwifery practice De Geboortezaak in Wijk bij Duurstede. I work together with the midwives of De Geboortezaak for pregnant women who would like or need to see a gynaecologist during their pregnancy. I visit the midwifery practice to consult with the midwives and to see the pregnant women during a consult at their own practice instead of at the hospital.

Sanne works together with us from her lactation consultancy practice San Borstvoedingszorg to make sure women who have just become mothers can feed their child with trust and pleasure.
Remedial therapists Cesar-Mensendieck
Dewi and Ike are specialised in the pelvis and pelvic floor. They guide women to cope with the changes in their bodies and to prevent any physical problems. They also offer a number of antenatal classes.

Online information evening
For our English speaking clients, we organize online information evenings about the pregnancy on March 23rd and May 11th. About giving birth on March 9th and May 18th. About the postnatal period on March 16th and June 1st. We will start at 19.30h. You are most welcome!!
Telephone consultation hours extended
From january onwards, our assistants will be available bij phone every workingday, between 8.30-12.30 h and 13.30-16 h. More convenient for you!
Listening to baby's heartbeat
